The Significance of the Feasts of Israel and their Relationship to Messiah

 

Most Christians are familiar with the Spring Feasts of Israel, those of the Passover Season and of Pentecost, but as we are finding out, not enough of us yet know the significance of the Fall Feasts. For that reason, we'd like to give a brief summary of those and the story they tell of Messiah, Jesus, and God's redemptive purposes for His people Israel and for the restoration of all things. The Fall Feasts will ultimately culminate in the Lord returning to reign from Jerusalem. Until National Israel looks with new eyes on the One who was pierced for their's and our transgressions, who was wounded for our iniquities and a great cry goes up in travail of spirit as for the death of an Only Son, bringing great repentance throughout all the land of Israel, Messiah will not return to set up His Kingdom on earth. The Feast Days are all indicative of Messiah's work, those already fulfilled in His first advent and those yet to be fulfilled before His second coming.

 The North American and International
Call for the Body of Christ
to Prayer and Repentance!

  

Our mission is to call the members of Christ's Church from North America and around the world to Repentance for the purpose of Renewal and Solidarity and to come together again next year on September 26, 2012 for a purpose far greater than ourselves. We intend to join the Nation of Israel on their National Day of Repentance next fall. As the earthly representatives of our Lord we will openly confess that we have not brought glory and honor to Him and neither have our fathers before us and we intend to remedy that! We will first purge ourselves of all things that are not to the Glory of God and that hinder the work of the Holy Spirit within us. In the sight of Heaven and earth we will ask God and the Jewish people to forgive us! What greater witness could we offer them than our broken hearts and the travail of our souls for the manifest hurts that professing Christians have dealt to them in times past?

We will humble ourselves and as One Church we will petition the Lord and the Nation of Israel for forgiveness. Whatever you do to the least of these, My brothers, you do to me. All over the world there are indications of a profound awakening stirring within many hearts and minds. Complacency is being replaced with a desperate desire to impact current affairs and to serve the Lord with renewed efforts. We've talked to so many brothers and sisters that feel as we do and they, too, recognize that the Church Body is in disarray and in need of Renewal and Solidarity and that the salvation of Israel is the key that ushers in the Millennial Reign of Messiah. It should absolutely break our hearts that 99% of our Lord's people do not yet recognize their own Messiah.  If we truly have a heart like the Lord's we should do all we can to remedy that truth. 

May the fervent prayer for the turning of the Nation of Israel to their Messiah begin with us this year! 

May a renewal of the Lord's Ecclesia begin with us this year!

As all eyes are on Jerusalem we can no longer deny the significance of those who are the Apple of God's eye. Forgive us Lord for our selfishness. We already possess all we will ever need. Pour out your Spirit on your people, Lord--have mercy on the whole house of Israel!

Join us in extending peace to the Nation of Israel every day and every way we can; and join us next fall!

Do you sometimes feel as if you are standing in front of a stampede? Do you, too, feel overwhelmed by the pace at which the morals of our society are changing? God is being written out of our nation's history, out of our schools and our children's textbooks, and the Supreme Court is even waging war against Him! Well, if you believe as we do, that the hand writing is on the wall, then you are not alone. It seems our common enemy, the spirit of this age and the prince of this world, has been very active while the Western Church has slept. We've been lulled to sleep by our comfortable lifestyles and we've been busy chasing the American dream. We're just now realizing that it is, only a dream after all. We've many treasures laid up on earth, but very few laid up in Heaven. Since "our salvation is nearer than when we first believed", shouldn't we be getting our house in order? Shouldn't we be making a more significant difference in our world?

We want to make absolutely clear that we are not promoting a return to the law for the Church. What we are saying is that because of the freedom and liberty wherein we stand, we can freely chose to join Israel on the fall feast day known to them as Yom Kippur, or the Day of Repentance. We are indeed free while the majority of the Jewish people are without the light of Messiah! Our fervent prayer is that they might know Messiah, Jesus, the King of Israel and the King of all the earth. Just as you don't stop being Irish or Spanish or Arab when you accept Jesus, neither will the Jews stop being Jewish. Messiah died and rose once for all. We are now a new creation in Messiah, being One in our Lord who broke down the center wall of partition, removing the enmity between the two. We hope to tear down any remaining remnants of that wall and of replacement theology by extending peace and mercy to the whole house of Israel. We will join them because we are free to do so and more importantly we need to do so!

We will begin the process of Solidarity and Renewal with the remedy that the Bible outlines for us -- Repentance. Let us put off once and for all the unfruitful works of darkness and put on the full armour of God and return to our First Love. Let us show the world that we are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. Let's raise our voices together and declare our commitment to Jesus once more. Let us magnify the Name of Christ in the earth. Let us Repent, Return and Pray for Renewal of the Lord's Ecclesia!  We need to double our efforts in reaching out to lost souls the world over and we need to take the Gospel to the Lord''s people, the Nation of Israel!
